Terms of Service
Agreement
These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Sonescent LLC, doing business as Sonescent ("Sonescent," "we," "us"), governing your use of Cartigraph and any other Sonescent software products and the sonescent.com website. By downloading, installing, activating, or purchasing the Software, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
License grant
Sonescent grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Cartigraph on up to three (3) computers that you own or control for your own personal and commercial music production and audio engineering work. This license does not transfer any ownership interest in the Software to you.
Trial license
Cartigraph is available as a free, full-featured 30-day trial for evaluation purposes only. After 30 days, a paid license is required to continue using the Software.
Restrictions
You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, distribute, or publicly display the Software
- Sell, resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or lend your license or the Software to any third party
- Share or transfer your license key
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software
- Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the Software
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices or branding in the Software
- Use the Software to develop a competing product
- Circumvent the license activation or seat-limit enforcement system
Activation and seat limits
Your license entitles you to activate Cartigraph on up to three (3) machines simultaneously. Sonescent reserves the right to revoke a license found to be in violation of these Terms.
Payment and pricing
All purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy (a Stripe company), our payment provider and merchant of record. By completing a purchase, you also agree to Lemon Squeezy's terms of service. The price displayed at the time of your purchase is final for that transaction.
Refunds
Because Cartigraph includes a full-featured 30-day free trial before purchase, all sales are final and no refunds are issued after a license is purchased. See our Refund Policy for full details.
Nothing in this section affects any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law.
Updates and versions
A Cartigraph license includes all updates within the same major version (v1.x) at no additional charge. Future major versions may be offered as a separate purchase with upgrade pricing for existing license holders.
Intellectual property
Cartigraph and all associated software, design, and branding are the exclusive intellectual property of Sonescent, protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use Sonescent's trademarks or branding without prior written consent.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Sonescent does not warrant that the Software will be error-free or uninterrupted. Your use of the Software is at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
Sonescent's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for your license. Sonescent shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
Termination
Sonescent may terminate your license immediately if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Software and delete all copies in your possession.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Multnomah County, Oregon.
Changes to these terms
Sonescent reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
